This workshop is designed to help elected members understand the major issues and challenges around implementing significant innovation within the organisation. It looks at the potential benefits and hazards so that they can have an informed view of what is happening and influence it appropriately. The day consists of cut down versions of selected modules from the main four workshops.
At the end of this workshop attendees will:
understand why innovation is necessary
understand the risks and opportunities associated with innovation
be able to drive and have influence on the innovation process
be able to build cross party support for innovation
be able to advocate effectively on behalf of their residents for innovative changes in service provision
contribute practically and strategically to the process
